Three settings that make a members delivery fail

Most failed claims are not delivery problems. They are channel settings. Check these three before you claim, not after.

Join approval. If your channel or group has "Approve new members" switched on, incoming joins land in a pending queue instead of counting. The sample looks like it failed; it is actually sitting in your admin panel waiting for you.

Link type. A public username link (https://t.me/yourname) stays valid indefinitely. A t.me/+ invite link can be revoked at any time, and a one-time invite link expires after the first join — which means it burns on member number one and the rest have nowhere to go. Use the username link.

Reachability. If the channel is private, or the username was changed after you copied the link, there is nothing for the delivery path to join.

Fixing these takes under a minute and they account for most of what people report as "the free sample did not work."

How to check the result yourself

Do not judge a members sample from the number at the top of the screen alone. Three figures tell you what you actually need to know, and the third is the one providers rarely mention.

How many arrived. Note your count before you claim, then again once delivery finishes.

How fast. A batch that lands in one burst looks different in your growth graph than one that spreads out. Neither is inherently better — but you should know which one you are getting.

How many stayed after seven days. This is the number that matters. Check the same count a week later.

Telegram opens a Statistics panel to channel admins once the channel passes a minimum subscriber count. If you do not see Statistics in the channel menu yet, record the raw member count manually before and after. Open it from the channel profile, then the menu, then Statistics. The joined / left split over seven days is the honest version of a delivery report.

Why some members leave

A share of any member delivery leaves over the following weeks. This is true of free samples and paid packages, from every provider that exists. Accounts get cleaned up, users prune the channels they joined, and some accounts were barely active to begin with.

What you can influence is the ratio, and it has less to do with the provider than most people assume. Channels with a profile photo, a filled-in description, a pinned post that explains the point of the channel, and something published in the last week hold a noticeably larger share of new joins than empty channels do.
